Our Eco Tour Experience
Hinchinbrook Eco Experience Tours are all inclusive accessible eco tours, or eco fishing experiences for families, couples and groups. We cater for the elderly, injured and those with limited mobility, we are also wheel chair friendly.
Our Day Tours
Welcome to Girramay & Bandjin country of Munamudanamy or Pouandai to the Biyaygiri people and Hinchinbrook Island as most of us know it. We access, embrace and protect the natural beauty of Hinchinbrook Island, it’s eco systems, creeks, fauna and flora. We also honour the dreamtime stories of the local traditional owners, and tales of days gone by you probably have never heard.
Three Great Walks
Beach – Bay - Rock, aka the Mini Thorsborne Trail. One of our favourite historical, fauna and flora walks. Whether it’s from lack of time, age, fitness, injury or being booked out, we can’t all experience the full Thorsborne Trail walk, but our mini version is enjoyable and achievable for most people.

Traveler Stories
What an experience, I’ve always wanted to go to Ramsay Bay and walk the beach to the bottom of Nina peak, we got that plus the history of the island and a Beautiful Rainforest creek walk.
Nic Bowden - Brisbane
We were finally able to get over to Hinchinbrook Island as it’s so inaccessible, we did the 3 walks Tour, what an experience, amazing scenery! Sue’s like an Eco warrior of Hinchinbrook Island, her obvious love of the Islands natural beauty is paramount. Nothing’s too hard for Robbie & Sue – they made our trip.
Eva Welsh – Invercargill NZ
Deluge inlet and the Bluff were my favourites, those Mountain Panoramic views and the Rainforest of the Inlet I didn’t know could exist.
Anthony Gowlo – Sydney
Meet your tour guides
Meet Robbie Wells, a qualified marine master, coastal adventurer, and explorer with a passion for marine biology. As your tour guide, Robbie's infectious personality and deep ancestral roots in the region will make your eco tour an unforgettable experience. Don't forget to ask him about his great, great, great grandfather's ill-fated exploration journey to the east of New Guinea. Joining Robbie on your tour is his wife Sue, an ocean and nature adventurer, angler, scuba diver, and surfing coach with extensive knowledge of fauna and flora.
